Pharmacy Technician/Pharmacy Services Coordinator

SVCHS has a full-time vacancy for a: Pharmacy Technician/Pharmacy Services Coordinator- Bristol and/or Tazewell schedules patients for clinical pharmacy services; Assists patients in obtaining medication in the most cost effective manner; Interviews patients in person & via phone to document medication use, allergies and history; Provides pharmacy technician staffing coverage for our pharmacy; Completes medication prior authorizations; Coordinates manufacturer sponsored medication assistance programs for providers & patients; Assists in remote patient monitoring technology. Must be knowledgeable in drug therapy & dispensing medications and be skilled at building relationships & providing excellent customer service. Need to be knowledgeable in using computers, electronic health records & devices used in remote patient monitoring. To be considered, applicant must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician in Virginia & have a minimum two year experience in a clinical setting or with medications therapy management (MTM) services.
